Hirschi Masonry team members get some air time! This story about the Project 150/Nevada Subcontractors Association Career & Employment Fair that was broadcast on Channel 8 in Las Vegas features some of the Hirschi team members who were at the event (check at about 0:25 in).

The job fair brought together high school students and recent graduates with local employers, many of them construction companies. It was a great chance for companies like Hirschi Masonry to get acquainted with local young adults eager for an opportunity.

Project 150 provides food, clothing, school supplies and other necessities for homeless high school students. The organization’s motto is “High School is tough enough”, and it serves 34 high schools around the Las Vegas valley. But Project 150 also wants to make sure the young people it helps are not forgotten when they leave high school.

By teaming with the Nevada Subcontractors Association on the job fair, Project 150 offered young adults the chance to meet with local employers. The construction industry has been expanding recently and many companies are searching for people who are eager to get started on the right foot and contribute to a great organization. Hirschi Masonry is a member of the NSA, along with many of the employers that participated.

Hirschi Masonry is the premier masonry contractor in the Las Vegas area and we’re excited about offering opportunities for local people to succeed. Project 150 does great work in the community and we met a lot of great young adults at the job fair.

Project 150 recognized all of the employers that participated in the job fair. For our participation in the job fair, Project 150 awarded Hirschi Masonry a plaque at the Summer Membership Meeting of the Nevada Subcontractors Association.
