It’s the dawn of a new day at Goodwill of Southern Nevada.

The nonprofit recently opened the first of a series of new stores slated for Southern Nevada in Henderson. At this new location they chose to Expect More, with structural walls in the new building built by the Hirschi Masonry team.

This new Goodwill store, at the corner of Stephanie and American Pacific, replaces another location of the nonprofit that had been open on Green Valley Parkway for more than 15 years, according to Goodwill.

The new structure is certainly impressive. At 16,000 square feet, the building provides more than double the space of the building it is replacing, states Goodwill of Southern Nevada. The walls of the building reach as high as 30 feet and incorporated multiple styles and colors of block.

Goodwill states the new facility in Henderson will create 15 additional jobs above those employed by the store it is replacing.

“Goodwill’s mission is to help members of our community work no matter disability or circumstance,” said Steve Chartrand, President & CEO of Goodwill of Southern Nevada. “Not only does this new, larger Henderson location create jobs but the additional revenue will help fund our life-changing job training and placement programs.”

Hirschi Masonry has already completed the structural walls on another of Goodwill’s new stores, the nonprofit’s first store in Centennial Hills, at Deer Springs and Durango.

As Las Vegas continues to grow, Goodwill of Southern Nevada is creating more opportunities and more shopping options for residents of Southern Nevada and Hirschi Masonry is helping them reach these goals.
